Devlog 3 - UI Changes, Soundtrack!
Happy Friday! Today we're gonna discuss some pages I made to my game, Cardkour.
To start, I decided to take a break from modeling and making prefabs (since it was getting tiring), and began working on some new UI for the game. I realized that when you are playing the game, there isn't any way to... pause it.
I decided to fix that.
What you see here is a work-in-progress pause UI for the game. I didn't wanna go through the trouble of setting up a separate settings window, so I decided to just do it the way it's shown in the picture above.
I went through MANY versions of the Pause UI because I just couldn't decide on what looked good. I ended up deciding on this, although I'm still tweaking it slightly as of now.
I plan to add some sliders to adjust the volume of the game, as well as some graphics settings and other options to customize your gaming experience. As of now, they don't work.
Second, I work has been started for a soundtrack! (Finally, there isn't any silence as you're playing.)
